Goucher Elementary students see ‘Accidents Disappear’
Broad River Electric presents electrical safety magician
Students from Goucher Elementary in Cherokee County just got an interesting lesson in electrical safety. However, unlike traditional lecture style lessons, this presentation was of a magical variety.
Using magic tricks and comedy to hold the 4K and 5K students’ attention, magician Scott Davis presented his Making Accidents Disappear program at Broad River Electric Auditorium on Wednesday, April 25.
“There is no performing art that is more universally loved among children than magic. I was excited that Broad River Electric has decided to sponsor this program. Teaching electrical safety in a way that is memorable and fun for the students is a real passion of mine,” Davis noted.
“At Broad River, we’re totally committed to doing everything in our power to prevent accident related injuries and deaths among children in our community. A commitment to community and education is one of the things that make rural electric cooperatives different. That’s something of which our members can be proud,” said Josh Crotzer, Member Services Coordinator at Broad River Electric Cooperative.
