As a member-owned electric cooperative, we're an active part of the community we serve.

Through our assocations with and financial support of local organizatios, Broad River Electric has a strong reputation for corporate citizenship and community leadership.

At the 2010 Annual Meeting, CEO Richard Baines Announced the formation of Broad River Electric Charities and the new Operation Round Up program, which will provided tens of thousands of dollars each year to local organizations and individuals.

We're active as an organization as well, with special programs for high-school students and with services that keep us involved with our community.

We encourage our staff to be involved in our community as well: many of our staff members serve on boards for civic clubs and organization and as coaches for local teams.

BROAD RIVER ELECTRIC AUDITORIUM is a venue for much more than an annual cooperative meeting, the spacious interior (30,000 square feet) can accommodate over 3,000 people. It is temperature-controlled and has a catering-capable kitchen. There are two giant projection screens, a large stage, and broadband internet access.
