BROAD RIVER ELECTRIC CHARITIES DONATES TO CRIME STOPPERS

The sheriffs of three local counties were at Broad River Electric Cooperative last Friday to accept donations of $1,000 each for their local Crime Stoppers fund. Broad River Electric Charities donated the money to Crime Stoppers of Cherokee, Union and Spartanburg Counties.

The contributions, presented to Sheriffs David Taylor of Union County, Chuck Wright of Spartanburg, and Steve Mueller of Cherokee, were among a total of $22,000 made to 18 local non-profits and causes this quarter.

Local Crime Stoppers programs are non-profit organizations led by citizens against crime. Some Crime Stoppers programs offer cash to persons providing anonymous information that leads to the felony arrest of criminals and fugitives.
